New Zealand releases a load of UFO documents

New Zealand has unleashed a couple thousand pages of data gathered on UFO sightings dating back to 1954.  As you can guess, so far nothing extraordinary has been uncovered.

The country's most famous and possibly best documented sighting happened in 1978.

The documents do contain information on this sighting but, don't expect anything too exciting or official. According to BBC News, an official with the New Zealand Air Force stated:

"We have just been a collection point for the information.  We don't investigate or make reports, we haven't substantiated anything in them." 

Another highlight includes a man who reported that he had contact with an extraterrestrial with size 440 shoes that told him, "You will remain in hydrogen form for 150 years.  Then it will change to sodium."  There are also said to be drawings, photographs and samples of alien writing that were collected over the years.

The Louisiana Swamp Creature Mystery

You may have seen the above picture on your local news broadcast a week or so ago (something like this).  The picture was allegedly taken by a hunter's deer cam deep in the swampy woods of Berwick, Louisiana.
There have been several claims that this is part of a viral marketing campaign.  Aside from an obviously joking Twitter post from the makers of the PS3 game Resistance 3, there hasn't been any real strong evidence that this thing is trying to sell you something.
